I wish my book and my lectures could be a compass for your marvelous adventure! Each language has its own short-cut/hack kinda thing. For Korean, learning with sentence structures is recommended in general, and I also agree with it. It's especially very helpful when you aim to be able to speak and communicate fast :)
Try your best to be able to differentiate 예요 /이에요 이/가 naturally. This will help you a lot for your further study =)!
