아시아권이 아닌 사람들에게 동양 운명철학의 핵심적인 내용이 되는 오행에 대한 설명은 매우 어렵고, 반대로 이해하기도 매우 어려운 문제가 분명하다. For the non-Asians, the explanation of the five elements, which are the core contents of the Eastern fate philosophy, is very difficult and obviously difficult to understand. 특히 인간의 운명을 해석하기 위한 오행의 이해는 개념의 설명과 전달과 해석에 많은 어려움이 따르게 된다. In particular, the understanding of the five senses for interpreting human destiny comes with many difficulties in explaining, transmitting, and interpreting concepts. 이곳에서는 간단한 단어들로 오행의 핵심적인 작용과 의미를 전달하면서 차츰 익숙하도록 하는 방법을 선택하려고 한다. 그래서 역사적인 인물들의 운명을 해석하면서 동양운명철학의 방법을 알려주려고 한다. 동양철학에서는 음양과 오행 두 가지 사상으로 우주만물과 법칙을 해석하고 이해한다. Oriental philosophy interprets and understands all things and laws in terms of yin and yang and five elements. 먼저 음양이란 움직이는 기운과 멈춘 기운을 의미하는 사상이다. 유명한 주역은 이 사상으로 쓰여진 책이다. 동양 운명철학에서 오행은 크게 두 가지로 하늘의 기운과 땅의 기운으로 구분한다. In Oriental philosophy of fate, five elements are divided into two groups: the energy of heaven and the energy of earth.
하늘의 기운을 천간 또는 天干이라 표기하고, 영어로는 Aura of Heaven라 한다. The energy of the sky is written as tiangan or 天干, and it is called Aura of Heaven in English.
