In our most recent video with Edward and Eddie Sahakian of Davidoff of London, we discussed our shared love for fine timepieces and shared the stories behind what we were wearing. There are a lot of overlap between the Cuban cigar collection community and the watch collecting community. Those that appreciate the quality, craftsmanship, and tradition of fine Cuban cigars more often than not also appreciate those same qualities in watches.

The watch I was wearing was a 1990's Chopard Luna d'Oro Perpetual Calendar that my wife gave me for my 30th birthday. I love this watch as much - if not more - today than when I originally received it. This piece is epitomizes watchmaking at it's finest.

Movement is automatic winding and is a Jaeger LeCoultre Caliber 888 ebauche with a proprietary perpetual calendar plate designed by Chopard. The perpetual calendar complication keeps the perfect date until the year 2100, adjusting for the various days of the month and leap year! The watch is further enhanced with a retrograde date indication, whereby the hand swings back to 1 at the end of the month.

I have several custom, quick-release Jean Rousseau watch straps. The one pictured here is a navy crocodile. I love how the quick release mechanism allows the watch straps to be easily and quickly switched out, allowing me to easily coordinate the watch with what I am wearing!
